GE is a mobile application helping its users to learn English. For its users to be fluent in English, this application includes listening, comprehension questions, and grammar skill. Sophisticatedly designed, users find that this application is very useful and enjoyable. GE is available in Play Store and App Store.
There are a lot of applications of learning English which are available on Play Store and App Store. On the other side, our client had many requirements that need to be applied on the application. Knowing these facts, we were challenged to create an application which was different than the others but still met the requirements.
The first step was to define the requirements by sitting with our client to identify the application they wanted. Then we identified the things that distinguished the application from the others by highlighting important features, enriching type of questions, and applying timer to open the next lesson.
Using the application, this is the opening screen that appears firstly to its users.
Different from other applications, the main menu uses path-based form. It helps students to understand stages that need to be taken to complete the lesson. A unit remains locked unless students complete the previous lesson.
Each unit consists of 3 lessons. Each lesson should be done sequentially.
Every lesson begins with a listening audio. Only after completion of listening to the audio can students view the script of the audio or just proceed to questions.
